Pakistan Pace Unit For T20 World Cup 2024: Pakistan's fast bowler Mohammad Aamir had announced his retirement from international cricket last Sunday (24 March). Aamir had said that he will be available for the T20 World Cup 2024 to be played in June. Will Pakistan's pace bowling attack become stronger with Aamir's return? Pakistan already has many quality fast bowlers, in which Aamir can add.
However, it is not clear yet whether Aamir will play in the T20 World Cup or not. Pakistan has to play some T20 series before the T20 World Cup. If Aamir is selected in the T20 series, it will be almost certain that he will play in the T20 World Cup.
Pakistan currently has Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf as the main pacers. Mohammad Aamir can add charm to this trio. Aamir is an experienced pacer and while playing for Pakistan, he has troubled all the batsmen of the world. After retiring from international cricket, Aamir has been seen continuously playing T20 leagues around the world. Aamir made his T20 International debut in June 2009. Before announcing his retirement, he played the last international match of his career in the form of T20, which was against England on August 30, 2020. Aamir has played 50 T20 International matches, in which he has taken 59 wickets while bowling at an average of 21.40. During this period he spent runs at 7.02 economy.
