The murder of a girl has come to light in Dehradun. The girl's family had lodged a complaint with the police about their daughter's disappearance. The girl was missing for the last three months. When the police investigated the matter, a shocking revelation came to light. The girl was murdered by her lover. Now the accused is in the custody of the police. Both came in contact through a wrong number and then started living together.
According to the information received, on March 29, her parents lodged a missing report of a girl named Shahnoor, resident of Haridwar, at Dehradun Kotwali Patel Nagar. He told that his daughter Shahnoor used to work in a beauty parlor while living in Sanskriti Vihar Colony in Dehradun. He is missing since 26 December 2023. A lot of efforts were made to contact and locate him. Still no information is available regarding him.
A case of missing girl was registered
Acting on this information, a case of missing girl was immediately registered at Patel Nagar police station. A team was formed by Senior Superintendent of Police Dehradun Ajay Singh to recover the girl. The team started searching for the missing. The informer system was activated to search for the girl. The police team searching for Shahnoor got information that missing Shahnoor was living in a live-in relationship with a young man named Rashid in Sanskriti Lok Colony in Dehradun.
Shahnoor was missing since December
After this, the police activated the informer system to find Rashid. On March 30, the police team got information that Rashid was roaming around his rented room in Sanskriti Vihar Colony. Information was received that Rashid has come to Dehradun to collect his belongings. On this the police team immediately reached Sanskriti Vihar Colony and started interrogating Rashid.
The girl's body was loaded on her scooter and thrown away.
The police became suspicious and Rashid was brought to the police station for questioning. On strictly interrogating him here, he told that he strangulated Shahnoor to death on December 27, 2023 and withdrew Rs 17,000 from his (Shahnur's) ATM and packed the body in a suitcase on his (Shahnur's) scooty and took the body ahead of Asharody. Thrown in the forest.
Rotten dead body found in suitcase
The police team took Rashid along to Asharodi and the police were shocked to see the scene there. The skeleton of missing Shahnoor's body was recovered in a decomposed state from inside a suitcase lying near a ditch on the roadside towards Saharanpur, about 5-6 kilometers from Asharodi. Rashid was arrested by the police and presented in the court.
The lover confessed his crime
According to the statement given to the police, accused Rashid told that he used to do motorcycle repairing work in his village Bagowali. In the year 2017-18, he was identified with Shahnoor through a wrong number on the mobile phone. Since then they were in constant contact with each other. In September 2023, he came to Dehradun to meet Shahnoor. After that, he rented a room near Sanskriti Lok Colony ISBT and started living with Shahnoor.
Rashid suspected Shahnoor of wrongdoing
She said that when Shahnoor was asked about her work, she used to talk about working in a parlor. When I asked her the address of the parlor, she always avoided the question. Shahnoor always used to come to the room late at night and sometimes the next morning in the morning. When asked the reason, she always avoided the conversation. Rashid told that he suspected that Shahnoor was involved in some kind of wrongdoing.
Rashid was upset with Shahnoor's late arrival.
Even on 26 December 2023, Rashid kept waiting for Shahnoor in the room till late night. She came to the room around 2 o'clock in the morning on the 27th. Rashid had a fight with Shahnoor over this matter. On asking the reason for coming late, Shahnoor instructed him to mind his own business and not keep an eye on her. Also slapped Rashid on his face.

Due to which Rashid got angry and strangulated Shahnoor to death. After the incident, the next day the accused took Shahnoor's scooter and went towards Patel Nagar Lalpul. There he withdrew Rs 17,000/- in cash from Shahnoor's ATM card and then bought a big red suitcase from Vishal Mega Mart in Lalpur and a rope from a hardware shop at Muskaan Chowk and returned to his room.
Bought suitcase with Shahnoor's money only
At the room, Rashid locked Shahnoor's body inside a red suitcase and in the afternoon, tied the said suitcase to the back seat of Shahnoor's scooter and threw it in a ditch in the deserted forest in front of Asharodi. After this, fearing being caught, Rashid took Shahnoor's scooter and went to his village Bagowali, Muzaffarnagar.
Rashid was living in Panipat
After staying there for a few days, he went to his sister's house on Kalaam Road, Vidyanand Colony, Panipat. There Rashid was working as a helper in a pickup vehicle. On the night of 30 March 2024, he came to Dehradun to collect his belongings from a rented room located in Sanskriti Lok Colony. During interrogation, Rashid informed that Shahnoor's scooter, mobile phone and ATM card were at his sister's house in Kalaam Road, Vidyanand Colony, Panipat.
