The number of devotees has increased since the construction of Kashi Vishwanath Dham in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Due to this, new records are being created day by day. At the same time, there has been a tremendous increase in the income of Vishwanath Dham. Compared to the last financial year, Kashi Vishwanath Dham has seen an increase of more than 42 percent in income.
However, the expenditure during this period has also increased by more than 40 percent. Giving more information about this, Vishwanath Temple Chief Executive Officer Vishwa Bhushan Mishra said that Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust has seen a substantial increase in both income and expenditure in the financial year 2023-24.

The total income of the temple trust stood at Rs 83.34 crore, an increase of 42.43 percent compared to the previous financial year. At the same time, with an increase of 40.38 percent, the total expenditure was Rs 25.32 crore. The increase in expenditure is mainly due to new welfare schemes launched by the temple trust.
The amount being spent on these works
In these schemes, mainly the distribution of clothes, books, musical instruments etc. to all Sanskrit students is to be started. Apart from this, distribution of blankets, clothes etc. to the general public during the cold season and providing food facilities to disabled people, travelers etc. through Anna Seva. Along with this, many seminars are being organized from time to time by the temple with the participation of national and international scholars to solve global problems.
Boom in tourism industry in Kashi
Due to the changing nature of Kashi and the faith of Bholenath, there has been a tremendous boom in the tourism industry of Varanasi. There is a lot of change in the standard of living of the people of hotel industry, special food of Banaras, travel industry, transport, handicrafts, worship material, sailors and other ghat related businesses.
