A man has been arrested for raping a 6-year-old niece in Fatehpur, UP. Police said on Tuesday that the 42-year-old accused raped a girl who was sleeping on the terrace.
According to the report of the news agency, regarding this incident, police station in-charge Bechelal Prasad said that the girl was sleeping alone on the terrace of her house, when the accused reached there from the adjacent house and raped the girl. He told that the incident took place in Chandpur police station area on Saturday night.
The station in-charge said that based on the complaint of the girl's mother, a case was registered on Sunday and the accused was arrested on Monday. Prasad said that the girl suffered excessive bleeding after the rape incident. The girl is undergoing treatment in a government hospital, where her condition is improving.
Police said that the girl's father was arrested by Jehanabad police two months ago in a rape case and he is currently in jail.
