AUS Vs WI: Australian fast bowler Mitchell Starc is known for throwing yorkers. In the second Test being played against West Indies, Starc bowled such a yorker that the toe of the opposing team's batsman Shamar Joseph was broken. Joseph's condition was so bad due to Starc's yorker that he could not even return to the pavilion on his feet after retiring hurt and he was taken to the dressing room with the help of two players.

Joseph was declared LBW on Starc's yorker. But due to no ball, Joseph was saved from being out. However, then Joseph sat on the pitch and started writhing in pain. The physio came from the pavilion and found that the injury to Joseph's thumb was very serious and he would not be able to continue batting at any cost. After this Joseph decided to retire hurt.

Increased difficulty for West Indies

Joseph's injury has increased the concern of West Indies. In the Pink Ball Test being played against Australia, West Indies has given the host team a target of 216 runs to win in the fourth innings. But Joseph has been the most successful bowler for West Indies in this series. In such a situation, his not being able to bowl is a big blow for the West Indies team.

By the end of the third day's play, the Australian team, chasing the target of 216 runs, had scored 60 runs at the loss of two wickets. Australia's star batsman Steve Smith has returned to the pavilion unbeaten after scoring 33 runs. Green is supporting him and he has scored 9 runs. Before this, Australia lost the wickets of Khawaja and Labuschagne.

If we talk about the second test, West Indies scored 311 runs in the first innings. Australian captain Pat Cummins took a shocking decision and declared the innings at the score of 289 despite being behind by 22 runs. West Indies' second innings was reduced to 193 runs. Australia has a 1-0 lead in the two-match series.
