IND Vs ENG: England has given a chance to 20-year-old young spinner Shoaib Bashir in the playing 11 for the second test against India. As soon as he got a place in the team, Shoaib Bashir's spell went viral which had made even the veteran players fans of the 19 year old spinner. Only after seeing this spell, England captain Ben Stokes and coach Bradham McCullum had decided that they would definitely give this player a chance in their team. Bashir's bowling was so brilliant in this spell that even Sir Alastair Cook, the highest Test run scorer for England, had no answer.

This spell was bowled against Cook while debuting for Somerset in first class cricket. Stokes had sent the clip of Shoaib Bashir's debut to team coach McCullum and Director of Cricket Rob Key. Talking about Bashir's debut, Stokes said, “I saw Bashir playing for the first time in Abu Dhabi. But after watching Bashir's bowling against Cook in county cricket, I guessed better. Bashir has a lot of ability in bowling.''

Bashir could not play the first test due to visa dispute

Bashir, however, got only one wicket in his debut match. But Stokes believes that Bashir can prove to be the most effective weapon for England against India. There was also a possibility of Bashir playing in the first test. But due to visa dispute, Bashir could not reach India for the first test. However, now due to the injury of Jack Leach, Bashir has got a chance to debut. Apart from Bashir, England has kept two more spinners in the team. Tom Hartley and Rehan, who defeated Team India in the first Test, are also part of the playing 11.
