IND Vs ENG: Yashasvi Jaiswal has created history in the third cycle of the World Test Championship by scoring a century on the first day of the second Test against England. Yashasvi Jaiswal is the only player to score two centuries in the third cycle. Jaiswal has defeated legendary players like Virat Kohli, Steve Smith, Rohit Sharma and Usman Khawaja in the third cycle of WTC. All these legendary players have been able to score only 1 century each in the third cycle of WTC.

On the first day of the second Test being played against England, Yashasvi Jaiswal started very cautiously. However, once settled at the crease, Jaiswal started scoring runs rapidly. Showing his dashing attitude, Yashasvi Jaiswal completed his century with a six. Till tea break on the first day, Yashasvi Jaiswal is unbeaten after scoring 125 runs in 185 balls. Jaiswal's innings included 14 fours and three sixes. Jaiswal had also scored 80 runs in the first innings of the first test. Jaiswal had said at that time that he wanted to play his natural game and he did not regret missing out on a century. However, in the very second test, he managed to score his first century on Indian soil.

Debuted last year

After his brilliant performance in the IPL last year, Yashasvi Jaiswal got a chance to make his Test debut for India. Jaiswal made a great start by scoring a century against West Indies in the very first match. Yashasvi Jaiswal, playing his sixth Test match, has so far scored 536 runs at an average of around 60. Apart from two centuries, Yashasvi Jaiswal has also been successful in scoring two fifties. Looking at the way Jaiswal is batting, it can be said that he has the ability to become an excellent opener for India in all three formats.
