In Gonda, Uttar Pradesh, a person looted eight lakh fifty-three thousand rupees by showing a sickle in a bank. This incident happened in the Civil Line branch of Pratham UP Gramin Bank. After committing the crime, the accused robber escaped on his bike. After getting information about the incident, top police officials reached the spot. They interrogated the bank employees and several teams have been deployed to search for the robber. However, this incident was captured in the CCTV installed in the bank.

According to the police, Prathama UP Gramin Bank, located in Pantnagar area of Nagar Kotwali area of the district, was functioning like every day on Friday also. Around 11.30 a young man entered the bank wearing a helmet and reached the cashier. Career Shweta Gaur asked the young man to remove his helmet. On this, instead of removing the helmet, the young man placed a sickle on the cashier's neck and looted a bag full of money kept nearby and ran away on his bike.

On receiving information about this sensational incident of robbery in the most VIP area of the city, DIG Amarendra Prasad Singh and SP Vineet Jaiswal of Devi Patan division reached the spot. Police have started investigating the incident. Several police teams including SOG have been deployed in search of the robber.

Superintendent of Police Vineet Jaiswal said that the first UP Gramin Bank robbery incident took place in Kotwali Nagar police station area. Five teams have been deployed to search for the accused. SOG and surveillance teams are investigating. All police stations have been alerted regarding this incident. Besides, information has also been given to the police stations of the neighboring district. Information is being given on the basis of the robber's appearance.
He said that the police have found important clues in this regard. Soon the robber will be arrested and the incident will be revealed.
