Bengaluru and Delhi Will Host WPL 2024: Regarding the Women's Premier League i.e. Women's IPL 2024, the Board of Control for Cricket in India said that Delhi and Bangalore will host the tournament. Earlier the board had announced the schedule of the tournament. WPL 2024 will start from 23rd February and the final will be played on 17th March. A total of 22 matches will be played in the 5-team tournament, in which there will be 20 league matches.

According to Indian time, all the matches will start at 7:30 pm. The first 11 matches will be held in Bangalore. Apart from this, the remaining 9 league and 2 playoff matches will be hosted by Delhi. The first match of the season will be played between defending champion Mumbai Indians and runner-up Delhi Capitals.

Bangalore and Delhi teams will play on home ground

In the season, the teams of Royal Challengers Bangalore and Delhi Capitals will get a chance to play on their home ground. Bangalore will play its first match in the tournament on 24th February against UP Warriors at the home M Chinnaswamy Stadium. After this, Bangalore will play the next four i.e. a total of five league matches at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium only. Then RCB will play the remaining three league matches at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

Whereas Delhi Capitals team will play its first match of the tournament against Mumbai on 23 February, which will be played at M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bangalore. Delhi will play the first four league matches in Bangalore only. After this, the last four league matches will be played at the home ground i.e. Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.

WPL 2023 was played in Mumbai

Let us tell you that the first season of the Women's Premier League i.e. WPL 2023 was played under the hosting of Mumbai. Mumbai's Brabourne Stadium and Navi Mumbai's DY Patil Sports Academy were selected for the tournament, where all 22 matches were played.
