The survey report of Varanasi's Gyanvapi complex conducted by the Archaeological Survey of India came out on Thursday. According to the report, many evidences of the existence of a temple in the complex have been found. After this report came out, there was a wave of happiness among the Hindu parties. Expressing happiness, the women of Gyanvapi Shringaar Gauri not only sang songs but also raised slogans of Har Har Mahadev. During this, along with the Hindu parties, their advocates were also present.
Demand to stop Namaz in Gyanvapi campus
After the report of the Archaeological Survey of India came out, there was a tremendous atmosphere of happiness among the Hindu parties. The plaintiff women of Gyanvapi Shringaar Gauri case not only expressed happiness after the survey report came out. In fact, he now also demanded to stop Namaz in Gyanvapi campus.
Hindu side's advocate Sudhir Tripathi told that the Archaeological Survey of India had conducted a survey of 92 days. We have reviewed the summary of the 839-page survey report that was filed. In the summary, each and every thing has been written point wise and in a very clear manner. The pillars are the pillars of the temple and the mosque has been built by breaking the pillars. It was demolished in the 17th century.
The western wall is the ruined remains of a temple.
Advocate Sudhir Tripathi said that scratches have been made at many places and attempts have been made to erase them but they have not been erased. Shankar ji's name is mentioned in it in Devanagari script. The western wall is the broken remains of the temple. The remains of stones found there were already with the Archaeological Survey of India. It is clear in the remaining part that the inscription about the temple has been written and it is about the temples only.
He said that this makes it clear that the temple has been demolished and a mosque has been built. Explaining the next step, advocate Sudhir Tripathi said that we will go to the Supreme Court and the sealed area which he calls fountain. He is our Shankar ji, he will also be surveyed as per the orders of the Supreme Court.
'The temple was demolished in 1669'
Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi, another advocate from the Hindu side, said that our response is that after taking out all the evidence, it has been proven in the survey that it is a part of the temple. The temple was demolished in 1669 and the temple was converted into a mosque. Therefore, prima facie, ASI has accepted that it is a part of the temple and all the structures of the temple are standing.
He said that it is a temple. All the pillars etc. found from the western wall are the remains of the temple on which the mosque was built. Therefore, this is a huge evidence for us in the court which has been certified. The battle that we have been fighting for a long time regarding the condition and direction of the temple will reach its end. There was a temple there and it will remain there. Archaeological Survey of India has proved this in its report. Talking about our next step, advocate Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi said that we will demand a similar survey of Vaju Khana where our Shivling is located.
'Many types of broken statues found'
Rekha Pathak, a female party from the Hindu side, said that the report of finding 839 has come and whatever we have seen there has come in the report. Many types of broken idols, Shivalinga and small and big copper coins have been found there. Rekha Pathak further said that we want that offering Namaz there should stop now. The temple should be handed over to us and they should go somewhere else.
Another party, Lakshmi Devi, said that the report of the Archaeological Survey of India has come out and we are very happy about it. We wanted that report to be public, so all those things have also come in the media. We have been fighting for the temple for many years and this report has proved that this is our temple.
Demand to conduct a survey of Waju food
Another woman lawyer, Manju Vyas, said that during the 92-day survey, we were going every day. We did not care about our family. Our only aim was to bring forward the complete evidence. The survey found a lot of things that we did not even expect. We want to conduct a survey on the consumption of ablution and demand that Namaz should now be stopped.
Sita Sahu, another woman plaintiff in the Gyanvapi Shringaar Gauri case, said that we already had complete information about it, we used to go there and had seen each and every thing beforehand. It used to give goosebumps to see the remains of the temple lying there. There were tablets on which it was written in Sanskrit language. Many small and big Shivalingas and many Arghas have been found there. After seeing all this we are saying that it is a temple. I would call the dome there a symbol of slavery. Its name was Gyanvapi Temple i.e. the grove of knowledge. It was broken to destroy our culture. Now the report has also come out in which it has been told that the mosque was constructed after demolishing our temple. We are very happy after the report came out.
