Vice President Kamala Harris made a shock look throughout The Simpsons panel at San Diego Comedian-Con 2024 on Saturday, July 27.
Harris, 59, addressed followers of Fox’s animated sequence in a video clip performed on the finish of a panel celebrating the present, in response to multiple reports.
“We should transfer ahead, not backward; upward, not ahead; and all the time twirling, twirling, twirling in direction of freedom,” Harris mentioned, quoting the 1996 “Treehouse of Horror VII” episode in a pre-recorded clip, per The Hollywood Reporter.
To introduce the clip, The Simpsons creator Matt Groening instructed the viewers that they have been about to listen to from a “superfan.” No context was given about when the clip was recorded.

Harris’ look on the panel comes after followers on social media have been declaring the similarities between the politician and the animated character Lisa Simpson in a 2000 episode of the sequence, titled “Bart to the Future,” the place Lisa grew to become the primary feminine president.

Lisa wore a purple blazer accessorized with a pearl necklace within the episode. The Simpsons author Al Jean identified in a submit on X (previously Twitter) that includes side-by-side images of Harris and Lisa that the character’s outfit was just like the one which Harris wore on Inauguration Day in 2021 when she was sworn in as vp.
“@TheSimpsons ‘prediction’ I’m proud to be part of,” Jean wrote within the submit on July 21, the day that President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 presidential race and introduced his endorsement of Harris.
