Nacho Figueras is opening up about working together with his buddy Prince Harry on their upcoming polo documentary sequence.
Talking to PEOPLE on the Veuve Clicquot Polo Basic on Saturday, Oct. 5, the skilled polo participant, 47, stated it was an “honor” working with Harry, 40, on Netflix’s docuseries POLO, which works behind the scenes of the game.
“Look, to me, it is an honor to do something with him. He is a pricey buddy,” Figueras tells PEOPLE. “That is extra his mission than it’s mine. It is an honor to know that I used to be capable of assist,” he provides of the sequence, which premieres in December.
“And the present is just not about me. It is not about him … So we have been working very arduous on it and we’re very excited in regards to the final result.”

Netflix introduced the Duke of Sussex’s new polo documentary sequence, which he’s producing underneath his firm Archewell Productions, on Sept. 9.
The streamer shared in an announcement posted on X (previously Twitter) that POLO “follows elite world gamers and presents an unique, behind-the-scenes take a look at the fast-paced world of the game.”

Figueras’ feedback on working with Harry come weeks after he posted a tribute to his longtime buddy on his fortieth birthday on Sept. 15.

Figueras and Harry met at a 2007 charity match benefiting Sentebale. The pair remained associates and have competed as teammates after Harry joined the Los Padres polo group after shifting with Meghan to California in 2020.
