Toddler Dies After Being Discovered Unresponsive in Bouncer Seat at Ga. Daycaretheinsiderinsight

A 6-month-old turned unresponsive and died after being positioned in a bouncy seat at a daycare in Georgia.

In a press release shared with PEOPLE, the Georgia Division of Early Care and Studying, which oversees daycares in Georgia, mentioned that the incident occurred on the Pittman Park Training Middle in Statesboro on Wednesday, Feb. 12.

The childcare company mentioned preliminary experiences confirmed that the unidentified toddler “was positioned in a bouncy seat and later turned unresponsive whereas being attended to by employees.” The kid was six months outdated, per ABC local affiliate WJCL and WTOC.

In line with Grice Connect, Bulloch County EMS responded to the daycare round 12:30 p.m., and the toddler was then transported to the hospital.

The Georgia Division of Early Care and Studying confirmed the kid’s loss of life and mentioned they’re “deeply saddened by the tragic incident.”
