Amid cross voting in Rajya Sabha elections and resignation of a minister, Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhwinder Sukhu made it clear that he has not resigned. In the Rajya Sabha elections, 6 Congress MLAs and 3 independent MLAs had cross-voted for BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan. After this the Himachal government was in danger. Everyone's eyes were on the budget to be presented in the Assembly on Wednesday. If the budget was not passed, the Sukhu government in Himachal would have fallen. However, on Wednesday the assembly budget was passed by voice vote. After this, CM Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that BJP had spread rumors about the fall of the government. He did not resign. In an exclusive interview with NDTV, CM Sukhu said, “The political wishes of all the MLAs cannot be fulfilled.”

Sukhu said, “BJP hatched a conspiracy and tried to topple the government by deploying CRPF, it failed today.” He said that the government has brought a disqualification motion against the MLAs, its hearing is going on. Truth has always prevailed in democracy, those who conspired to topple the government will also be exposed.

Himachal CM said, “Despite all efforts, BJP could not topple the Himachal Pradesh government. Behind this is the blessings of the people of Himachal. It is the blessings of the common people. This type of practice should not happen at all in a democracy.”

Congress has majority
CM said, “Congress has 34 MLAs after excluding 6 cross-voting MLAs. BJP has 25 MLAs. It is clear that Congress has the majority. The public will tell the way forward. Congress MLAs are united.”

Priyanka Gandhi accused BJP
Earlier, Priyanka Gandhi tweeted that BJP with 25 MLAs in Himachal is challenging Congress with majority of 43 MLAs. It is clear that it depends on buying and selling. Congress Observer Jairam Ramesh, who reached Himachal, said that after talking to the MLAs, we will take steps and will not shy away from taking tough decisions.

Minister Vikramaditya resigned
Earlier, Minister Vikramaditya had resigned from the post in a press conference at 11 am on Wednesday. He said- 'The ball is now in the court of the high command.'
