The second interim budget of the Modi government's tenure is going to be presented today i.e. on 1 February 2024. In such a situation, it is being said that there will be no special announcement in this time's budget, but if we look at the first interim budget of this government i.e. Budget 2019, many big announcements were made in it. From Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana (PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Scheme) to changes in Income Tax, many announcements were made for the common people. Five big announcements in the budget of 2019

1. Gift of Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi
To increase the income of farmers, the Finance Minister made a big announcement in his Interim Budget 2019-20 and started PM Kisan Scheme. Under this scheme, farmers are given three installments of Rs 2000 each at an interval of four months i.e. Rs 6000 per year to help in their farming. At that time it was announced to provide this benefit to 12 crore small and marginal farmers. Under this scheme, Rs 75,000 crore was allocated for the financial year 2019-20.

2. Prime Minister Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana
To provide pension benefits to 10 crore workers and workers in the unorganized sector, the government had started the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Mandhan Scheme. Under this scheme, on contribution of Rs 100 or Rs 55 per month, Rs 3000 per month is given after 60 years.

3. This change happened regarding tax
In the interim budget of 2019, the government had increased the limit of standard deduction by Rs 10,000, giving relief to the middle class people. Earlier the standard deduction was Rs 40,000, which was increased to Rs 50,000.

4. Increase in TDS limit
In this interim budget, TDS on interest earned from banks and post offices was increased by Rs 10,000 to Rs 40,000. The limit on rental income was increased from Rs 1,80,000 to Rs 2,40,000.

5. Special announcement for employment
The then Finance Minister Piyush Goyal said that 25% additional seats would be given in educational institutions to fulfill the 10% reservation for the advancement of poor families. Whereas in 2019, Defense Budget of Rs 3,00,000 crore was presented for the first time, while for Railways, a budget of Rs 1,58,658 crore was announced.
