The current fleet of BMP-2/2Ks were first inducted into the army in 1985 and have been the mainstay of the infantry ever since. These are also armored vehicles operating on land and water during the Soviet era. Its war cry is Garuda's words, dear ones.

Thermal imaging has been upgraded with night sights. Being an amphibious combat vehicle capable of operating in all weather conditions, it can engage in a variety of conflicts.
