A major accident took place under Delhi's Subhash Nagar metro station on Thursday evening. The reason was that a heavy iron pipe suddenly fell down from the metro station. A car and a scooter running on the road came under its grip, due to which both the vehicles were damaged. The scooter rider was injured in this incident and has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. After the incident, a gathering of people started below the station and a traffic jam-like situation was created.
As soon as the information was received, top officials of the police administration reached the spot and started investigation. According to the police, the scooter rider is seriously injured and is undergoing treatment. The damaged vehicles have been removed from the road. Also, by removing people from the road, the traffic was made to run smoothly.
Let us tell you that earlier on February 9, a 53-year-old man had died and four people were injured when a part of the wall of Gokulpuri metro station in North-East Delhi collapsed. The deceased was identified as Vinod Kumar Pandey, a resident of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Colony in Karawal Nagar, who was a rice supply agent. Pandey was going to deliver rice to a shopkeeper on his scooter when he was hit by the debris of the collapsed wall.
