In the Delhi Liquor Policy case, the Enforcement Directorate has taken major action and arrested Bharat Rashtra Samiti leader K Kavitha from Hyderabad. ED is now taking Kavita to Delhi for questioning. ED had raided K Kavitha's house in Hyderabad today, after which she was arrested a few hours later. Kavita had ignored some summons of ED. After this, ED raided his house.

K Kavitha is a member of the Legislative Council in Telangana and is the daughter of party chief and former Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. ED has already interrogated him in this matter. However, she did not appear for questioning despite being summoned at least twice this year.

Kavitha has been arrested at a time when only a few weeks are left for the Lok Sabha elections and 100 days of the Congress government in Telangana have been completed. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is also scheduled to hold a road show in Malkajgiri, a suburb of Hyderabad, this evening.

Also, in a video, Kavitha's brother and former Telangana minister KT Rama Rao can be seen confronting an ED officer. In front of the camera, she takes the name of an officer and shows the documents and says about the ED, “The search is over and the arrest warrant has been presented and now she says that the family cannot come inside. She also says That she has no transit warrant, she cannot appear before the magistrate, but she wants to make a case.”

Allegation of violation of promise given to the Supreme Court

Rao accused the officials of violating the promise given by the agency to the Supreme Court and said, “You are in serious trouble.”

An ED official was heard saying that legal remedies are available.
