ACB DIG Dr. Ravi said that SMS Hospital employees and middlemen were caught red handed for allegedly taking bribe for NOC. He said that the accused include an officer of SMS Hospital and organ coordinators of EHCC Hospital and Fortis Hospital.

Arrested for taking bribe of Rs 70 thousand

Dr. Ravi told that ACB caught Gaurav Singh, Assistant Administrative Officer of SMS Hospital and Anil Joshi, Organ Transplant Coordinator of EHCC Hospital, while taking bribe of Rs 70 thousand. Three fake NOCs were also recovered from them. The team has also arrested a person named Vinod, Organ Transplant Coordinator of Fortis Hospital, Jaipur.

Actually, a committee has been formed by the government to give NOC for organ transplant. It is alleged that Gaurav was making NOC by allegedly forging signatures of the committee members without the knowledge of the committee. Among the documents seized from his house, NOC certificates of patients from Bangladesh, Nepal and Cambodia have been recovered.

NOC of 40 percent foreign citizens

ACB DIG Dr. Ravi said that NOC certificates have been found from Gaurav Singh's house, out of which 40 percent belong to foreign citizens. He told that a large number of files are kept in the siege office of MSS Hospital. Now ACB will examine the case files for three years till January 2021.

Government suspended Gaurav Singh

The state government on Monday issued an order suspending SMS Hospital assistant administrative officer Gaurav Singh after his arrest by the ACB.

ACB is now investigating how many fake certificates were issued. In this case, the premises of Fortis and EHCC hospitals have been searched.

12 hospitals of the state are on the radar of ACB

Dr. Ravi said that the role of 12 hospitals across the state is doubtful. Along with this, there are also two hospitals in Mumbai, which are on the radar of the police. If some more information comes to light in further investigation, action will be taken against those hospitals also. However, the names of the hospitals will not be made public yet. Along with this, ACB has also not denied that if the role of hospital administration and doctors is found suspicious then it can also be investigated.
