Union Minister Smriti Irani addressed NDTV's Indian of the Year Awards program.

Union Minister Smriti Irani, after the women of India were honored with NDTV's 'Indian of the Year' award, said that the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces is a woman and it is a matter of great happiness. Smriti Irani also said about women that what you wear will not decide what you will achieve, nor will your critics decide which path you will take, know your strength and decide your destiny. He said that women are ahead in every field.
