Ritual of puja completed at midnight
The Varanasi Court ordered the opening of the Vyas basement in Gyanvapi at 3 pm on Wednesday and a few hours later, between 12 noon and 12:30 am, the basement was opened and worship was performed. Before the puja, the entire Vyas basement was purified with Panchagavya at around 12 o'clock in the night on Wednesday. Worship was done according to Shodashopachar method, under which first the idols found in the basement were purified with Ganga water and bathed with Panchagavya. After this, deity Mahaganapati was invoked, then sandalwood, flowers, intact incense lamp were offered to all the idols and aarti was performed. 2-3 idols of Shivalinga, Hanuman and Ganesh were worshiped in the Vyas basement. Along with this, a goddess idol was also worshiped and this worship continued for about half an hour.

After thirty years, common devotees, like saints and priests, were allowed to have darshan in the Vyas basement of Gyanvapi Mosque in Varanasi. Now after 30 years, Aarti will be performed 5 times in the basement of Gyanvapi following the court order. First of all, Mangala Aarti will be done at 3.30 am, Bhog Aarti at 12 noon, Aarti at 4 pm, Evening Aarti at 7 pm and Shayan Aarti at 10.30 pm.

Devotees arrived to worship only at midnight
On Wednesday afternoon, the court gave the Hindu side the right to perform puja in the Vyas basement of Gyanvapi and all the arrangements were made within a few hours of the court's decision. There was movement throughout the night from Delhi to Kashi on Gyanvapi. Following the order of the Varanasi Court, Vyas ji's basement was opened at 10:30 last night and it was cleaned. Then between 12 o'clock in the night and 12.30 o'clock the puja took place in the basement of Vyas ji. Worship took place here after 30 years, devotees reached here at midnight itself to worship.
Muslim side reached Supreme Court at 3 o'clock in the night
Here the Muslim side reached the Supreme Court at 3 o'clock in the night. The Masjid Arrangement Committee contacted the registrar of the Supreme Court at 3 am today, the legal team of Gyanvapi Masjid. The Muslim side requested the Supreme Court to stay the order of the Varanasi Court so that the Muslim side can seek legal remedies. At 3 am on Thursday morning, the Muslim side talked to the registrar for about an hour. The Registrar of the Supreme Court woke up the Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud at 4 in the morning and placed documents in front of him. After going through the papers early in the morning, the CJI asked the Muslim side to mention the matter before the Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court for any relief.
