Lokayukta raids are going on in Karnataka. Lokayukta raid is going on against government officials at 40 locations in 10 districts of the state. Raids are being conducted against junior officers in suspected DA cases. In the raids, action is being taken at the houses of corrupt government officials in connection with 10 cases. The scope of investigation includes Mescom, Tumkur, Mandya, Chikkamagalur, Hassan, Koppal, Chamarajanagar, Mysore, Ballari, Vijayanagar and Mangalore. What information has been found in the raid so far has not been revealed yet.

Raids are being conducted at the houses of these officers

The officials whose premises are being raided include Tumkur: Hanumanthrayappa, KRIDL, Mandya: Harsha, Dept. PWD, Chikkamagaluru: Netravathi, CTO, Hassan: Jagannath G, Food Inspector, Koppal: Renukamma, Forest Dept., Chamarajanagar: P Ravi, Rural Development, Mysore: Yagendra, Muda, Ballari: B Ravi, Assistant Professor, Vijayanagar: Bhaskar, Electricity Department, Mangalore: Shantha Kumar HM, Mescom. Action is being taken against these officers in corruption cases.

Raids took place on officers' houses in December also

This is not the first time that Lokyukta raid has taken place in Karnataka. Even in the month of December, officials associated with Lokayukta had conducted raids against 13 officials in the case of assets beyond income. In this raid, action was also taken against Yadgir district health officer Dr Prabhuling Mankar, who was said to be a relative of a top leader of the Karnataka unit of BJP. According to a statement issued by the Lokayukta, raids were conducted at 68 places. A plot, a house, land and documents worth more than Rs 1 crore were found in the raid. At the same time, cash, gold and silver and other household items worth Rs 49 lakh were also found in the movable property.

Whereas in August 2023, Lokayukta raids were conducted at 48 places. At that time the houses of many government officials including engineers and constables were raided.
