The distance of about 10 kilometers will be covered through the coastal road in just eight to 10 minutes. At present it takes 35 to 40 minutes to cover this distance.

There is a recreation area of ​​about seven and a half kilometers from Priyadarshini to Worli along the Coastal Road, which will be bigger and more beautiful than Marine Drive.

The date of inauguration of the coastal road has not been decided yet but the work to complete it is going on war footing. In the first phase, the road from Worli to Marine Drive will start. It has one interchange at Worli, second at Haji Ali and third at Amarsen. After that there is Priyadarshini Park from where the tunnel starts.
