Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday hit back at Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge's comments on the removal of special status to Jammu and Kashmir under Article 370 of the Constitution. During a program in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Congress President Kharge had said on the question of ending the special status of Jammu and Kashmir, “Hey brother, what is the deal with the people here?” Referring to Kharge's remarks, PM Modi said that having questioned the Congress President, I ask why he thinks the issue of Jammu and Kashmir is not relevant?

Amit Shah also targeted
Home Minister Amit Shah has also said that what Kharge said is “shameful”. He reminded the Congress that Jammu and Kashmir is an integral part of India and every state and citizen has a right over it, just as the people of the Union Territory have a right over the rest of the country.
According to the seat-sharing arrangement of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Bihar for the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP will contest on 17 seats and its ally Janata Dal (United) or JD (U) will contest on 16 seats. Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) will contest elections on five Lok Sabha seats. Jitan Ram Manjhi-led Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) and Rashtriya Lok Samata Party (RLSP) will contest from one seat each.
