Actor-turned-politician Kangana Ranaut – BJP candidate from Mandi, Himachal Pradesh has rejected reports claiming that she had once eaten beef. This comment was made by Congress leader Vijay Wadettiwar. Let us tell you that Leader of Opposition in Maharashtra Assembly Vijay Wadettiwar had said that the actor had once eaten beef and yet BJP has made him a candidate in the upcoming elections.

Now Kangana has replied on this. Kangana posted on X, writing, “I do not eat beef or any other kind of red meat, it is shameful that baseless rumors are being spread about me, I have been advocating yogic and Ayurvedic lifestyle for decades and Now such strategies will not work to malign my image. My people know me and they know that I am proud to be a Hindu and nothing can ever mislead them.”

BJP leader Shaina NC also hit out at Vijay Wadettiwar's statement, calling Congress “anti-women”. He said, “This is not the first time that Congress has made such absurd comments. Supriya Shrinet had said 'Mandi mein kya rate hai' and Randeep Surjewala used to talk about Hema Malini's qualifications despite being of Sonia Gandhi's age. …This Congress party is clearly anti-women.”

The latest controversy comes days after Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate triggered a massive controversy with her derogatory remarks about Kangana Ranaut. In response to the comment made by Supriya Shrinet on social media, the Queen actor had said that he has played different characters in films. This includes roles ranging from being a prostitute in 'Rajjo' to being a revolutionary leader in 'Thalaivi'.

She said, “We must free our daughters from the shackles of prejudices, we must rise above talking about their body parts and above all we must not treat the challenging lives or circumstances of sex workers as some form of abuse or humiliation.” “Use should be avoided… every woman deserves her dignity.”

Supriya Shrinet later issued a video clarification and said that she had removed the “inappropriate posts” made from her handle without her knowledge.
