A shocking case has come to light in Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, where a 50-year-old man allegedly raped a one-year-old girl on Saturday. As soon as information about this heinous crime was received, the police arrested the accused.
'The accused is being interrogated'
Giving information, the police said that on Saturday, a 50-year-old man was arrested on charges of allegedly raping a one-year-old girl. Right now the accused is being interrogated. The girl was first admitted to the district hospital for treatment, from where the girl was referred to Lucknow for examination and care of pediatricians. Although the condition of the girl was stable.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Vrinda Shukla told the media that this incident took place in Nanpara police station area of Bahraich. The officer said that as soon as information about the incident was received, a case was registered against the accused under IPC section and Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses (POCSO) Act and he was arrested.
Earlier, in Shravasti, uncle called a girl to his house and raped her under the influence of alcohol and then fled from the spot. After receiving the complaint against the accused, the police got the girl medically examined and arrested the accused within a few hours of the incident.
