IIT-Jodhpur has developed a state-of-the-art technology. Regarding this, the institute claims that this can reduce traffic jams and road accidents. Novel MAC-based Authentication Screen (NoMAS) from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, IIT, aims not only to enhance vehicle security and intelligence but also to solve many challenges faced on the road.
The institute says that this system can contribute to road safety by providing real-time data on road conditions, accidents and traffic jams between vehicles. According to Professor Debasis Das, who is associated with the development of the technology, this information can help drivers take informed decisions and avoid dangers.
Data will be collected through Internet of Vehicles network
Data collected and shared through the Internet of Vehicles network can also be analyzed to identify accident-prone areas, risky behavior patterns or road conditions. There is a need for improvement so that the authorities can take active steps to solve them.
This system will also reduce the incidents of vehicle theft.
Professor Debasis Das said that this technology is an unprecedented solution to increase the security and efficiency of Internet of Vehicles. With this technology we have attempted to address significant challenges in data security, communication overhead and security vulnerabilities. He said NoMAS can also help protect vehicles from theft and unauthorized use.
Driver's stress level can also be measured
Researchers have also developed a federated learning-based driver recommendation system for next-generation transportation. Its main feature is the ability to measure the driver's stress levels by analyzing driving patterns.
