Jordan Drone Attack: on Sunday Three American soldiers were killed in a drone attack on a base in Jordan. US President Joe Biden has blamed Iran-backed terrorists for this attack and vowed to teach the criminals a lesson. Biden issued a statement on the attack, saying, “While we are still gathering the facts of this attack… we know that it was carried out by radical Iran-backed terrorist groups operating in Syria and Iraq.”

The White House said Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris were briefed on the attack Sunday afternoon by several Cabinet-level national security officials. Later in the day, after observing a moment of silence for the American soldiers killed in the attack at a South Carolina church banquet center, the president told attendees, “We will respond.”
This is the first time since the beginning of Israel's war with Iran-backed Hamas that US military personnel have been killed in firing in the Middle East.
The US Central Command has put the number of injured in the attack near the Syrian border at 25 and said that the identities of those killed will be kept secret until their families are informed. US and allied forces have been targeted in more than 150 attacks in Iraq and Syria since mid-October, according to the Pentagon, and Washington has retaliated with strikes in both countries.
Meanwhile, Jordanian government spokesman Muhannad Mubedin expressed his country's “condolences to the United States for the victims of the attack”. Also told that no soldier of Jordan Army was injured in this attack.
