HILLSBOROUGH COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — The Florida Division of Well being in Hillsborough County has confirmed one case of regionally acquired dengue fever brought on by a mosquito chunk.
Officers are conducting aerial spraying as a prevention effort and are reminding residents to report lifeless birds to the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and to take precautions round mosquitoes.
The DOH is conducting statewide surveillance for mosquito-borne sicknesses corresponding to West Nile virus infections, malaria, dengue, and others.
