HE ALLEGEDLY SPED OFF IN DEPUTIES CHASED HIM TO HIGHWAY 62, WHERE HE WAS THEN TAKEN INTO CUSTODY. INVESTIGATORS SAY THEY FOUND MARIJUANA WHEN THEY SEARCHED THAT STOLEN CAR. HIGH POINT POLICE ARE INVESTIGATING TWO BURGLARIES THAT TOOK PLACE WITHIN ABOUT 15 MINUTES OF EACH OTHER. THE FIRST ONE TAKING PLACE AT SWEDO BAKE SHOP AROUND 4:15 AM THURSDAY. THE SECOND AT PORTERHOUSE BURGER COMPANY AROUND 4:30 AM THE HIGH POINT BAKERY WAS LEFT WITH A MESS AFTER THE MASKED MAN BROKE IN AND RANSACKED THE PLACE AND GOT AWAY WITH THE BUSINESSES CASH REGISTER, WHICH HAD A FEW HUNDRED DOLLARS IN IT.
