Indian Cricket Awards: The annual awards function of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is to be held today (January 23) in Hyderabad. This award function of BCCI will be organized after four years. This award ceremony was stopped due to Corona. Last time this ceremony was held in Mumbai on 13 January 2020. Then Jasprit Bumrah was selected as the 'Best International Cricketer' and was awarded the 'Polly Umrigar Award'.
This time when this ceremony is being organized after a long break of four years, Shubman Gill has become the finalist for 'Cricketer of the Year'. Along with this, it has also been decided to award the Lifetime Achievement Award to former Team India coach Ravi Shastri. During this time, not only all the players of the Indian team will be present, but the English team which has come to play the test series will also be present.
When and where will the ceremony be held?
This award function of BCCI will be held in Hyderabad on Tuesday evening at 6 pm. The first match of the 5-match Test series between India and England is to be played in this city from Thursday.

Who are the big contenders?
Apart from Shubman Gill and Ravi Shastri, many cricketers will also get awards here. Awards will be distributed in many categories. There is no concrete information about all the categories here, but in some reports, it has been decided that the big awards of domestic cricket will be given to Sarfaraz Khan and Shams Mulani for their strong performance in Ranji Trophy.
