Australian players scared of Kohli's fear, gave a surprising statement regarding the World Cup theinsiderinsight

T20 World Cup 2024: The Mahakumbh of T20 cricket has come very close, less than 2 months are left for its event. Virat Kohli's bat is currently raining a lot of runs in IPL 2024, but now his teammate in RCB, Glenn Maxwell has given such a statement which can create a big controversy. On the show 'Around the Wicket', Maxwell told that he has not yet forgotten the innings played by Kohli in the India vs Australia match in the 2016 Cricket World Cup, hence he does not want Kohli to play in the upcoming World Cup.

Glenn Maxwell said, “In the 2016 T20 World Cup, Virat Kohli was hitting the ball on a pitch which cannot be called excellent for batting. His changing the position of his hand at the last moment was like a tennis bat and Pushing the ball into the gap or crossing the boundary line is something that no one else in this world can do. It has been a great experience playing and training with him and I have seen him give his all. Still, I have to play against him, “Hopefully India doesn't pick him in the squad. We can do a lot better by not playing against him.”

Virat Kohli single-handedly led India to victory

In the India vs Australia match played in the 2016 T20 World Cup, the Kangaroo team had scored 160 runs while playing first. While chasing the target, the Indian team had lost 3 important wickets within the first 50 runs. Although his 45-run partnership with Yuvraj Singh proved to be very important, Virat Kohli returned unbeaten after playing an inning of 82 runs in 51 balls. Since wickets were falling continuously from the other end, Kohli, playing an excellent innings, single-handedly forced Australia to lose the won game.
