England, who came to bat first, were bundled out for 152 runs by the Indian bowlers. Oliver Price played the biggest innings of 48 runs for the English team. Apart from this, Brayden Kars scored 31 runs and all the other batsmen proved unsuccessful. During this period, Akashdeep took maximum 4 wickets for India. After bowling out England early, India A put 150 runs on the board without losing any wicket till the end of the first day. Devdutt Padikkal and captain Abhimanyu Easwaran, who came at the opening, did not let any wicket of India fall till the end of the day. Padikkal has scored 92* runs in 96 balls with the help of 15 fours and Easwaran has scored 53* runs in 96 balls with the help of 6 fours. By the end of the day, the Indian team was trailing by only 2 runs.
