Shoaib BashirVisa Issue: The England cricket team reached India on Sunday (22 January) for the five-match Test series starting from 25 January. But England reached India without off-spinner Shoaib Bashir, who is part of the squad for the Test series. Actually, Bashir has not been able to get the visa for India till now.
Bashir plays for County Cricket Club Somerset and is an uncapped player. Bashir was born in England, but his parents are of Pakistani origin. Currently, Bashir is in UAE due to lack of visa.
English coach Brendon McCullum said about Bashir, “It is expected that Bashir will join us tomorrow. He has some visa related problems. We have full confidence in the help we have received from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Government of India that it will be very helpful.” It will be resolved soon.”
Let us tell you that the England team had a training camp in Abu Dhabi before reaching Hyderabad. McCullum said that he is hopeful that Bashir will be present for the first Test starting from January 25.

First test will be played in Hyderabad, series will run till March
