But England reached India without off-spinner Shoaib Bashir, who is part of the squad for the Test series. Actually, Bashir has not been able to get the visa for India till now.

Bashir plays for County Cricket Club Somerset and is an uncapped player. Bashir was born in England, but his parents are of Pakistani origin. Currently, Bashir is in UAE due to lack of visa.

English coach Brendon McCullum said about Bashir, “It is expected that Bashir will join us tomorrow. He has some visa related problems. We have full confidence in the help we have received from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) and the Government of India that it will be very helpful.” It will be resolved soon.”

Let us tell you that the England team had a training camp in Abu Dhabi before reaching Hyderabad. McCullum said that he is hopeful that Bashir will be present for the first Test starting from January 25.

The England coach said, “Things take time. Everyone is doing the best they can. This is a process we have to go through and we are confident that we are close. We have also got some support for him, so he Not on our own. We are expecting news today that the visa has been approved.”

First test will be played in Hyderabad, series will run till March

Let us tell you that the first match of the Test series played between India and England will be played at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad, which will start from January 25. The last match of the same series will start from March 07, whose last i.e. fifth day will be on March 11.
