Champions League Twenty20: A very wonderful news has come out for the cricket fans. Actually, preparations are being made to restart the Champions T20 League, played between franchises around the world or the winners of domestic T20 leagues. The cricket boards of India, Australia and England are talking about restarting this league. This league was last organized in 2014.

Let us tell you that in 2014, the final match of Champions T20 League was played between Chennai Super Kings and Kolkata Knight Riders, in which MS Dhoni's team won the title. Last time, three teams from India, two each from Australia and South Africa and one each from Pakistan, West Indies and New Zealand participated in the Champions T20 League.

Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians have won the Champions T20 League title twice. Whereas Australia's New South Wales and Sydney Sixers won its title once each. There was a craze for this T20 league among cricket fans around the world.

Cricket Victoria CEO Nick Cummins said that the biggest challenge is to create a window for this in the very busy cricket calendar. “I think the Champions League was a premature initiative. T20 cricket was not that mature at that time, but it is now,” he said on the occasion of the partnership with Khelomor to launch the Melbourne Cricket Academy in India.

He further said, “Cricket Australia, ECB and BCCI are talking about restarting it. It is difficult to find a window for this in the busy ICC calendar. It is possible that the first Champions League will be in women's cricket, in which WPL, The Hundred And teams from the Women's Big Bash League will play.”
