IND Vs ENG: Team India captain Rohit Sharma faces a mountain of troubles theinsiderinsight

IND Vs ENG: Before the second test against England which is going to start from February 2, Team India captain Rohit Sharma seems to be in a lot of trouble. Team India, which is already facing the shortage of Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami, will now have to take the field without Ravindra Jadeja and KL Rahul. In the absence of four big match winners, selection of playing 11 is not going to be easy for Rohit Sharma. Team India has already lagged 0-1 in the five-match series after losing the opening match.

Due to injury, KL Rahul and Ravindra Jadeja will not be part of Team India in the second match. Mohammed Shami was also not available for selection in the first two matches due to injury. Whereas Virat Kohli is not available to play the first two matches of the series due to personal reasons. In place of the veteran players, two young players may get a chance to debut in the second test.

Why will there be a shortage of veteran players

Team India is going to miss KL Rahul the most in the batting order. In the absence of Virat Kohli, KL Rahul handled the responsibility of the middle order very well. After scoring a century against South Africa, KL Rahul continued his excellent form and played a brilliant inning of 86 runs in the first innings against England.

Ravindra Jadeja managed to do wonders with the bat as well as the ball. For India, Jadeja played the highest innings of 87 runs in the match. Not only this, Ravindra Jadeja troubled the opposing batsmen with his bowling also. Ravindra Jadeja took 5 wickets in both innings of the first test against England.

Virat Kohli's absence is going to hurt Team India the most. Virat Kohli keeps the audience full of enthusiasm while on the field. Because of which the team gets support when it lags behind. The lack of this was clearly visible in Hyderabad. Mohammed Shami's not playing also proved costly for Team India as Siraj, who played in his place, could not take even a single wicket.
