KKR vs SRH: On March 23, the match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Sunrisers Hyderabad was played at Eden Gardens. Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins won the toss and decided to bowl first, which initially proved good for them but as the innings progressed, KKR batsmen started dominating. Especially in the storm named Andre Russell, SRH bowlers were seen deviating from their rhythm. KKR's lower middle order played stormy innings and took the team's score to 208 runs.

Philip Salt and Sunil Narayan started the innings for Kolkata Knight Riders. Salt made a strong start to the innings, but Sunil Narayan returned to the pavilion after scoring only 2 runs. Salt remained at one end, but as soon as Narayan was out, KKR lost the next 3 wickets within 28 runs. The team's score was 51 runs for 4 wickets, but then Ramandeep Singh took over Kolkata's innings by scoring 35 runs in 17 balls. The team's run rate was below 7 at one time, but the stormy innings of Andre Russell and Rinku Singh had blown away the Hyderabad bowlers.
Shreyas Iyer's poor form continues as he was able to play only 2 balls and returned to the pavilion with a score of zero. Philip Salt definitely scored a half-century, but was out shortly after scoring his fifty. He played an innings of 54 runs in 40 balls by hitting 3 fours and 3 sixes. In the last 6-7 overs, everyone from Bhuvneshwar Kumar to Marco Jansen and Shahbaz Ahmed were also badly beaten. Rinku Singh also contributed 23 runs in 15 balls. Whereas Russell completed his fifty in only 20 balls and scored 64 runs in 25 balls in the innings, taking KKR's score to 208. During this innings he hit 7 sixes and 3 fours. SRH has got a target of 209 runs to win.
