Cricbuzz, quoting BCCI Secretary Jay Shah in its report, has confirmed that the second leg of IPL 2024 will also be played in the country. Actually, due to the Lok Sabha elections to be held in the country, the schedule of 21 matches of IPL 2024 has been announced so far.

According to the report, BCCI has confirmed that IPL 2024 will not be organized abroad. This clarification comes after reports which claimed to shift the league to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) due to the general elections in India.

The report further states that BCCI Secretary Jay Shah has refused to shift the second leg of IPL 2024 outside the country. There were multiple reports stating that some IPL teams had requested relocation of matches due to the upcoming elections, and there were even claims that BCCI members were exploring the possibility of holding the second half of the IPL in the UAE. . However, Jay Shah's statement has put an end to these speculations.

Lok Sabha election dates announced

Let us tell you that today (Saturday, March 16) the Election Commission has announced the dates of Lok Sabha elections. Voting for 543 Lok Sabha seats will be held in seven phases from April 19 to June 1. Voting will be held in 22 states and union territories in one phase.
