Mohammed Shami Recovery: Mohammed Shami is not in the Indian squad for the first two matches of the 5-match Test series against England. He had to sit out due to not being able to fully recover from the ankle injury. Now there are chances that he may remain absent from the next three test matches also.

According to a report by Cricbuzz, Mohammed Shami may go to London soon. He is planning to go to London to seek consultation from experts on matters related to his injury and recovery. It has also been told in the report that along with Shami, Nitin Patel, head of the Sports Science Department of the National Cricket Academy, can also go to London. Shami's rehab was going on in NCA under the supervision of Nitin. According to the report, it may take another month for Mohammed Shami to return to the field.

No return after World Cup 2023
Mohammed Shami has not been able to return to the cricket field since World Cup 2023. He has a problem with his ankle. He has spent a lot of time in NCA to work on this. His recovery is going well. The medical staff of NCA is also happy with his progress but he is still not able to bowl to his full potential. This is the reason why now he has to go to London for consultation.

Test series starting from 25th January
In the absence of Mohammed Shami, Avesh Khan and Mukesh Kumar have got a place in Team India for the England Test series. Both of them will represent India's fast bowling attack along with Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj.
