He made KKR win by making a partnership of 120 runs. In terms of the biggest partnership for any wicket against LSG, only the pair of Shubman Gill and Wriddhiman Saha is ahead of Iyer and Salt. Gill and Saha had made a partnership of 142 runs for the first wicket against LSG in IPL 2023. This list also includes RCB's Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell, who added 115 runs for the second wicket against the Lucknow team in 2023.
KKR remains at second place in the points table
Thanks to the unbeaten 120-run partnership of Shreyas Iyer and Philip Salt, Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets. This was KKR's fourth win in 5 matches in IPL 2024, due to which the team remains at second position in the points table with 8 points. Only Rajasthan Royals are ahead of them, who currently have 10 points.
