Mumbai Indians' hat-trick of defeats
Mumbai Indians played their first match in IPL 2024 against Gujarat Titans, in which they lost by just 6 runs. Mumbai's second defeat under Hardik Pandya's captaincy came against Sunrisers Hyderabad, a match in which many records were broken. After losing that match by 31 runs, now MI has also surrendered in front of Rajasthan Royals.
MI was able to score only 125 runs while playing first. If Tilak Verma had not played an inning of 32 runs and captain Hardik Pandya had not played an inning of 34 runs, then it would have seemed a very difficult task for the team to score 100 runs. Rajasthan Royals' hat-trick of victory
