IPL: Great batsmen like Virat Kohli, Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers and Glenn Maxwell have played for RCB, one of the most popular teams in the history of the Indian Premier League, but till date this team has not been able to lift the IPL trophy. Despite having Virat Kohli, Faf du Plessis and Glenn Maxwell in IPL 2024, RCB is proving to be a lagging team. In the current season, RCB has been able to register only 1 win in 4 matches. If the condition of Royal Challengers Bangalore continues like this then it will be difficult for them to make it to the playoffs.
It still remains a big question as to why RCB has not been able to become IPL champion till date despite having world class bowling and batting. Now retired Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu has revealed the biggest problem with the Bengaluru team.
Ambati Rayudu opened fire
On Star Sports show 'Cricket Live', Ambati Rayudu took a dig at the RCB players and said, “Look who bats for them in pressure situations? Young Indian batsmen and Dinesh Karthik do this. Their big and famous international players. Where are those who should take responsibility? Where are they all? They are all sitting in the dressing room. This has been happening with this team for the last 16 years.”
Rayudu further said, “This has been the story of RCB. When the pressure comes, we do not see any big names taking responsibility but young players take the burden on their shoulders. Big and famous players are playing in the upper order. “Such a team will never become champion. This is the reason why RCB has not been able to become IPL champion till date.”
