Ravi Ashwin: Indian cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin had set a historic record in the India vs England series held a few weeks ago. Ashwin became only the ninth player in the history of Test cricket to complete 500 wickets. He is only the second Indian bowler to cross the mark of 500 wickets in Test matches. He took 26 wickets in 5 matches in the series against England. Now Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has honored Ashwin for this memorable and historic achievement.
Ravichandran Ashwin became rich
Apart from giving a check of Rs 1 crore to Ravichandran Ashwin, Tamil Nadu Cricket Association has also given many gifts to Ravichandran Ashwin for the achievement of playing 100 matches and taking 500 wickets in Test cricket. Ashwin has been given 500 gold coins, a silver trophy, a special blazer (coat) and an amount of Rs 1 crore for completing 500 wickets. During this felicitation ceremony, Ravi Ashwin's wife and children were also present with him on the stage.
In the same ceremony, Ashwin thanked MS Dhoni wholeheartedly and expressed his gratitude to him, saying, “I want to thank MS Dhoni from the bottom of my heart. Whatever he has done for me, I will always be grateful to him. He gave me the new ball.” Gave me the opportunity to bowl against Chris Gayle.”
Ravi Ashwin's test career
Ashwin's Test career started on 6 November 2011 with a match against West Indies and he got married a few days later. After marriage, it is the result of Lady Luck that Ashwin emerged as one of the most successful Test bowlers in history. He has played 100 matches in his Test career so far, in which he has 516 wickets in his name. Apart from this, he has also taken 156 wickets in 116 ODI matches and 72 wickets in 65 T20 matches.
