There was a match between Mumbai Indians and Gujarat Titans in the league stage of IPL 2023, in which Mumbai Indians scored 218 runs in 20 overs thanks to the century innings of Suryakumar Yadav. On the other hand, while chasing the target, Gujarat Titans team kept losing wickets at frequent intervals. Rashid Khan came to bat at number eight and at one time Gujarat had lost 8 wickets at the score of 103 runs.
From here Rashid Khan started hitting sixes. In this match, he had increased the headache of Mumbai Indians players by playing a stormy innings of 79 runs in 32 balls. Rashid had hit 3 fours and 10 sixes in this innings. He tried hard to take Gujarat closer to victory, but could not do so due to lack of ball. Rashid returned unbeaten after scoring 79 runs and Gujarat's innings ended at 191 runs. Mumbai definitely won by 27 runs, but Rashid Khan must have increased the heartbeat of the opposition team.
In the same match, when Gujarat Titans bowlers were giving away a lot of runs, Rashid Khan took 4 wickets giving away runs at an economy rate of only 7.5. Despite a lot of efforts with ball and bat, Rashid Khan could not take his team to victory.
