A car running on the road at high speed hit the pedestrians. An elderly woman has died in this accident, while two people including a girl have been injured. The speed of the car was so fast that it did not stop even after hitting the auto and the bike rider walking on the road. During this, the woman driving ahead jumped and fell on the bonnet and the car kept running ahead.
Gujarat Police has arrested the car driver who committed hit and run. The matter is of Sarthana police station area of Surat. In the CCTV footage of the hit and run near Zakat Naka, you can see that people are walking normally on the road.

After the accident, the police of Sarthana police station had registered a case against the car driver. Now the accused driver Jitendra Salviya has been arrested in this case.

ACP Vipul Patel said that as soon as the news of the accident was received, the staff of Sarthana police station immediately reached the spot. The accused car driver has been arrested. A case has been registered against him under Motor Vehicle Act 185. On the complaint of the family members of the woman who died and those who were injured in this incident, a case has been registered against the accused under sections 304, 279 and 337 of the IPC.
