Through the second episode of Gypsy Rose: Life After Lock Up, Gypsy-Rose Blanchard opened up about her preliminary breakup in 2019 along with her former fiancé Ken Urker.
Whereas driving from Missouri to Louisiana through the episode — which was filmed in late 2023 — Blanchard tells her husband Ryan Scott Anderson that her ex-fiancé Ken Urker texted her stepmother Kristy to say he is comfortable that Blanchard was out of jail.
“And naturally Kristy let you already know about it,” Anderson responds, later including, “Too late, buddy.”
Blanchard then explains how she and Urker dated for 2 years, starting in 2017, whereas she was in jail after pleading responsible to second-degree homicide in connection along with her mom Dee Dee’s demise.
“Although he was within the free world, and I used to be in jail, this was my very first relationship that was long run,” Blanchard says of Urker through the episode. “Proper earlier than we have been going to get married, he ended the connection. It devastated me. I believe he just about gave me each breakup line the ebook.”
Blanchard married Anderson in a jail ceremony in July 2022 and was launched from jail early in December 2023.

Though she and Anderson initially appeared comfortable residing collectively, three months after her jail launch, Blanchard introduced that the pair had separated.
“Folks have been asking what’s going on in my life. Sadly my husband and I are going by a separation and I moved in with my dad and mom house down the bayou. I’ve the help of my household and mates to assist information me by this. I’m studying to hearken to my coronary heart. Proper now I would like time to let myself discover… who I’m,” she wrote in an announcement beforehand obtained by PEOPLE from her personal Fb account.

Shortly after her separation, in April, Blanchard met up along with her ex-fiancé Urker for lunch and obtained an identical tattoo with him. The next month, she confirmed that she and Urker have been again collectively, calling him her “old flame.”
Amid her breakup, “Ken was that help for me when going by this emotional hardship of crying after which being okay after which crying,” Blanchard beforehand informed PEOPLE. “Then I let myself speak in confidence to the emotions that I’ve at all times had for Ken. These emotions simply do not die.”
