In an interview with news agency ANI, the Prime Minister said that an honest person has nothing to fear, but people involved in corruption have 'fear of sin'.

There is fear of sin… An honest What is a person afraid of?… When I was the Chief Minister, they put my Home Minister in jail… The country should understand that only 3 percent of ED cases involve politicians and 97 percent of the cases are done by them. Cases are filed against people who are not related to politics…”
PM Narendra Modi said, “(People not related to politics) are either drug mafia, or officials who have been involved in corruption, against some officials who have created benami property, they have been sent to jail.” …”
The PM further said, “Before 2014, ED had seized assets worth only ₹5,000 crore… Did anyone stop ED from taking action and who was benefiting… ₹1 lakh during my tenure?” “Property worth crores has been confiscated… isn’t this the money of the people of the country…?”
PM Narendra Modi said that our country has been ruined by corruption and corruption will have to be dealt with with full force. Kavita and former Deputy Chief Minister of Delhi Manish Sisodia are also lodged in Tihar Jail in the excise policy case.
