Lok Sabha elections have been announced in the country. General elections will be held in 7 phases and results will be declared on June 4. Lok Sabha elections will be held in Madhya Pradesh in 4 phases and in the third phase, voting will be held on May 7 in the high profile Guna seat of Madhya Pradesh. The date of nomination in this parliamentary constituency will start from 12th April. The last date for nomination will be 19th April. Scrutiny of nominations will be on 20th April and the last date for withdrawal of nominations will be 22nd April. Voting will take place on 7th May and results will come on 4th June.

The high profile Guna Lok Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh is considered the stronghold of the Scindia royal family. However, Congress candidate Jyotiraditya Scindia, who won the 2014 elections by 1 lakh 20 thousand 792 votes, was defeated by BJP candidate Dr. KP Yadav by 1 lakh 25 thousand 549 votes in 2019. Now Jyotiraditya Scindia is again contesting from this seat, but this time he will contest the elections on BJP ticket. In view of this, he is campaigning vigorously in Guna parliamentary constituency. Scindia faces the challenge of erasing the stigma of the previous defeat.

In a special conversation with Aaj Tak, Scindia fiercely targeted Rahul Gandhi, Congress and INDIA alliance. During this, he termed PM Modi's deadline statement as Modi's guarantee. He said that ours is a journey of development, public welfare and progress. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Modi ji, a new charisma has emerged at the national level, regional level and local level. Every poor person is getting ration, women are getting gas cylinders. Highways, aviation, railways, work is being done everywhere.

On Congress's sarcasm on BJP's claim of 400 plus seats, Scindia said that his situation is like sour grapes. This is what Congress blames on EVMs. The difficulty is that Congress is completely bankrupt and is busy blaming instead of introspecting.

On Rahul Gandhi's instructions to the officials of the investigating agencies, he said that Rahul ji's guarantee goes before the public again and again and the public accepts Modi ji's guarantee. The party and alliance which took corruption to its peak in this country is today being punished for it. On what basis will we go among the public? All the agencies are working independently. On the basis of that, the culprit will definitely be punished because Modi ji has said that neither will I eat nor will I let anyone eat.

Scindia said that the Prime Minister is always serious about deadlines. In every cabinet he asks whether the schemes have to be taken till saturation. Whether each beneficiary has got the benefit of the scheme or not. The Prime Minister will not stop or bow down until that resolution is fulfilled.

On Congress fielding Yadav candidate, he said that every party is free to field its candidate. This is a democracy and in a democracy there is no bigger celebration than elections. All candidates are welcome and the one who touches the hearts of the people will win.
