Hyderabad broke its own record, scored 287 runs against Bengaluru; Head scored a century in 39 balls theinsiderinsight


SRH vs RCB: After losing the toss, Sunrisers Hyderabad have scored 287 runs against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This has become the biggest score made by any team in the history of IPL. Now RCB will have to score 288 runs to win. SRH started on a flying note as Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head took the team's score beyond 100 in the 8th over itself. Travis Head scored the most runs for Hyderabad. He completed his century in just 39 balls and scored 102 runs in his innings of 41 runs. Head also hit 9 fours and 8 sixes during this period. Heinrich Klaasen's bat also caught fire as he completed his half-century in 23 balls. Klaasen scored 67 runs in a 31-ball innings studded with 2 fours and 7 sixes. From one end, all the RCB bowlers were being beaten fiercely.

SRH had scored 128 runs in the first 10 overs and the run rate did not decrease even in the next 10 overs. In fact, after the 11th over, there has not been any over in which less than 10 runs have been scored. In the beginning of Hyderabad's innings, Abhishek Sharma also contributed 34 runs in 22 balls. In the end, Aiden Markram and Abdul Samad batted in a stormy manner. On one hand, Markram scored 32 runs in 17 balls and Abdul Samad played a stormy innings of 37 runs in 10 balls. SRH had made ghosts of Bengaluru bowlers by scoring 82 runs in the last 5 overs. Sunrisers Hyderabad had scored 277 runs in the match against Mumbai Indians in IPL 2024 itself, but in the match against RCB, they broke their own record and scored 287 runs.

RCB bowlers badly beaten

In the match against Sunrisers Hyderabad, every bowler of RCB was badly beaten. Lockie Ferguson definitely took 2 wickets in his comeback match, but also gave away 52 runs in 4 overs. Reece Topley also took one wicket, but he scored 68 runs in 4 overs. Whereas Vijay Kumar Vishak and Yash Dayal also gave away more than 50 runs in their respective 4 overs. There has been no bowler of RCB who has given runs at an economy rate of less than 10.
