Shamar Joseph made his IPL debut for Lucknow, blows the batsmen away with his deadly speed theinsiderinsight

KKR vs LSG: Lucknow Super Giants have decided to make the IPL debut of Shamar Joseph for the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. After losing the toss, LSG captain KL Rahul told that Devdutt Padikkal and Naveen Ul-Haq will not be in the playing eleven and Shamar Joseph and Deepak Hooda will be replacing them. Joseph is a right-arm fast bowler who plays for West Indies. Let us remind you that Lucknow had added Joseph to their team as a replacement for Mark Wood.

Till now the team management was looking at Naveen Ul-Haq for a foreign fast bowler, but Naveen has been badly beaten. Therefore, in his place, Shamar Joseph has been given the place of fast bowler in the match against Kolkata. This will be the first time when Joseph will be playing the first match in the history of IPL. Till now he has played only test matches in international cricket. He has taken 13 wickets in 2 test matches so far and his speed has continuously become the center of attraction for the cricket world.

Joseph does not have much experience in T20 cricket as he has played only 2 matches so far. LSG had signed him as a replacement for Wood by paying Rs 3 crore. Apart from Joseph, 3 other foreign players will be playing in the LSG team in the form of Quinton de Kock, Marcus Stoinis and Nicholas Pooran. In bowling, a big star has emerged from Lucknow this season in the form of Mayank Yadav, now in his very first match Joseph can also create a stir with his sharp and fast bowling.

Playing XI of Lucknow Super Giants: Quinton de Kock, KL Rahul ((WK/Captain), Deepak Hooda, Ayush Badoni, Marcus Stoinis, Nicholas Pooran, Krunal Pandya, Ravi Bishnoi, Mohsin Khan, Shamar Joseph, Yash Thakur
